Quick temporary fix for nmon's Analyser AME stats

But that is OK the nmon data is simple text and we can fix this with a few UNIX/AIX commands. Below is a quick script to work around this until we can update the nmon Analyser. I say we, but it is actually Stephen Atkins that wrote and develops the analyser in his own personal time. So we can't demand an immediate fix - but he is pretty quick most of the time :-)
To extract the PAGE statistics lines from the nmon data file, rename the lines (PAGE->AMS) and remove columns we don't want and finally bung the new lines on to the end of a new fixed nmon data file:
Briefly, from the graphs you can see it compressing more than uncompressing and after an initial peak, roughly 1000 compress/uncompress operations per second. This sounds like a lot but the 4 CPU Virtual Machine was still 90% User application time and System time 10% so its not slowing down the application.
I think AME is a great feature and there are big plans for it to be very much "business as usual" for most applications, thanks, Nigel Griffiths
