Title: Accelerate with IBM Storage: TS7700 Grid Replication - What You Need to Know
Date: November 17, 2016
Time: 1 pm New York, 6 p.m. London, 7 p.m. Paris, 17:00:00 GMT
Duration: 1.5 hours
Abstract: Copying (replicating) virtual tape volumes between TS7700 clusters is a critical function in delivering mainframe processing redundancy and disaster recovery. Please join us for this 90 minute session where we cover topics such as:
- A basic overview of how Grid replication works,
- The TS7700 components used for Grid replication and the various options that available,
- Monitoring Grid Replication using the Web Specialist and BVIR (Bulk Volume Information Retrieval) data, and
- How the TS7700 clusters will respond to various problems that may occur with the Grid Replication process.
In short, our aim is to enhance your knowledge and comfort level as it relates to TS7700 Grid Replication. Having a good understanding of TS7700 Grid Replication is increasingly important as the number of clusters in a single Grid increases, as clusters are increasingly dispersed over a wider geographic area, and as host processing is consolidated into fewer Sysplexes and TS7700 Grids.
