After a bit of a hiatus, we've released a new update for labs featuring the Baseline Synchronization Dashboard!
Baselines are the friend of every administrator. They let you bundle together a ton of disparate, stand alone fixlets into one grand do-it-all package, saving you the pains and burdens of managing each fixlet individual. However dealing with baselines themselves are not without headaches. Trying to keep in sync the baselines, their source fixlets, and their actions, all while maintaining the flexibility to test and include changes on your own schedule can be tricky, which is why we've created the Baseline Sync
This dashboard provides an easily searchable and filterable overview of all the baselines in your deployment, with along with their synchronization status. For example, lets say you've created and tested a new set of Patch Tuesday baselines, when Microsoft reports that their was an error with some of their patches, prompting a release (and an update to our fixlets). How do you know which of your many new baselines were affected, and how do you update them to the newest goodness? Using the baseline dashboard, you can view all the baselines that are out of sync with their source fixlets, and with a single click update all the baselines you choose. You can also see all the actions that were taken from an out of sync baseline, so that you can close them and issue them anew, if you choose.
