We have been slowly transitioning our customer-facing documentation and technical info pages from our legacy BigFix sites to IBM systems.
Here is a quick overview of some of the changes:
- New "Endpoint Management Community" -- This page basically links to all the pages discussed below.
- New "Endpoint Management" Blog -- (You are reading my first blog post.) We didn't have a blog at BigFix and instead used mailing list updates and forum posts. But... we think the blog is a better way to communicate and we expect to use this blog more often in the future on many BigFix-related topics. I recommend you check it often or subscribe to the RSS feed (at the bottom of the page).
- BigFix "support pages" replaced by developerWorks Wiki -- If you want detailed technical information on how BigFix works, you should definitely start here: https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/mydeveloperworks/wikis/home?lang=en#/wiki/Tivoli%20Endpoint%20Manager. The wikis contain not only information that used to be on our support.bigfix.com site, but we have also added many new wiki pages in the last few months. Also, you can comment, add pages of your own, and be notified about page updates.
- BigFix Forums will be transitioned to the developerWorks Forums -- In a couple months, we will transition from forum.bigfix.com to a forum on developerWorks. We will migrate all the posts and users (current forum members will receive an email asking you to register for the forum).
We expect to be using these new systems quite a bit so we recommend you bookmark and check-in with these pages frequently.
