Tomorrow a bunch of us U.S. based folks are heading to Karlsruhe, Germany for the IBM Lotus Technical Forum/DNUG event. I am looking forward to it (except for the jetlag - I need my sleep). I haven't been to this part of Germany and the Alsace wine region is not far away. :)
As we put on the finishing touches of our presentations, Maureen and I decided (well, I did) to primarily focus on Workplace Designer 2.6, but also give a sneak peek at "the next release", too, which has all sorts of cool and interesting features, including running on Eclipse 3.2, connectors to dbs and web services, and target runtimes of WebSphere Portal 6 and "the rich client", a.k.a. WebSphere Everyplace Deployment - the basis of both Sametime 7.5 and Hannover.
I'm also giving a talk on options for integrating portal and Domino, including the pre-built portlets and WebSphere Portlet Factory and Rational App. Developer. The idea is to lay out all the options so you can decide what route to take.
One final teaser - it will be worth your while to go to Maureen's Domino Designer talk on Tuesday. It should be interesting. :) More on that later next week, if all goes well.
