Social software build it's energy and structure by contribution. Most of the contribution for social networks rely on the people. A common question has been raised by customers asking how to view what people are the most active and who is contributing the most useful information. There is a clear difference between being active vs contributing useful information. For example, someone might blog twice a day but the content and topics do not appeal to most people in the social network. Someone else may blog once a week but the content is extremely useful to most people. So I have a couple questions.
1. What is more important - Active vs Useful contributor?
2. Should social software and Lotus Connections leverage some type of "reputation" system? If so, explain.
