If you live in the greater Boston 128/495 area AND like folk music AND are free on March 11, then there's a benefit concert I'll be playing in Bedford, MA at the First Church of Christ, Congregational Church. We play mostly the classic folk tunes, like "This Land" and "Will the Circle Be Unbroken", along with some 60s classics - "Turn, Turn, Turn", some CSNY, The Band, and Peter, Paul, and Mary. We also really like the O Brother soundtrack, so there's actually 3 of those in our sets - "I'll Fly Away", "Down to the River to Pray", and "A Man of Constant Sorrow". You get the idea. We have fun and encourage the audience to sing the choruses with us.
More info on A Mighty Coffeehouse. (I'm the guy with the "big fiddle".)
I was debating whether to post something off-topic work-wise in this blog. What do you think?
