Already announced, IBM Lotus® Connections is a Web 2.0 driven product which enables a new level of “collective intelligence.”

IBM has built its 'Web 2.0 Goes to Work' philosophy around three key components - Economic Impact, Community Value and Enabling Technologies to help businesses apply Web 2.0 technologies and principles in a reliable and manageable way.
As of early this morning, Lotus Connections has now shipped. That would make IBM the first company to provide an enterprise social software solution for businesses. Even though we just shipped R1.0, we already have customers using the product in their environment today. Lotus Connections is enterprise ready, scalable, and deployable. Using the technology at IBM for the past could of years and now as the product manager for Lotus Connections, this is a major accomplishment.
We (IBM) really let the cat out of the bag releasing Lotus Connections. Now everyone that want to become more innovative, expand Web2.0 capabilities, leverage new resources, connect with people, and just enjoy social software, Lotus Connections is the answer.
