Tip of the Day: Finding Your Product's Support Page in Just 2 Clicks!
Today's tip solves the problem of finding a particular product's support site quickly when you are not already in the IBM Support Portal.
Here's how to get to the answers you need in 2 clicks!
Step #1: Navigate to your favorite search engine - we'll be using the search engine at the top of ibm.com, but any major search engine will do.
Step #2: Enter into the search form "IBM <product name> support". For example, we'll be searching for "IBM Lotus Notes Support". (Naturally, you don't have to use "IBM" in the search string if you're on ibm.com.)
Now click your search engines "Search" button (That's the 1st Click!)
Step #3: View the search results. Usually, the first link in the results set will be: "IBM Support Portal - <Product Name>". For example, our search results has "IBM Support Portal - Lotus Notes" as the first result.
Now click that "IBM Support Portal - <Product Name>" link. (That's the 2nd Click!)
Step #4: You've arrived at your product's support site in the IBM Support Portal! That second click opened up the IBM Support Portal with your needed product's content viewable and your new product set to active!
If you have been to the portal before, your other products are still there, but not active.
There you have it - right to the product support page you need from anywhere on the web!
