The Support Portal was officially introduced in January, 2010, replacing the individual product support pages. IBM faced the challenge of simplifying online support for its many products, across many platforms. The Association of Support Professionals award (http://www.asponline.com/10announcement.html) validates IBM's goal of creating a single technical support website for all of our clients worldwide, that consolidates all technical support information and tools across hardware, software, and services. The IBM Support Portal is customizable, allowing each user to tailor the view of up to 10 software and hardware products, to suit their unique support requirements. And, the new search, combined with revamped, structured, tagged content, along with the capability to review results in smaller, focused sets, helps clients find the information they need faster.
