Electronic Support tools at the Information On Demand (IOD) conference October 25th-29th.
It was great to meet so many people and hear how the Electronic Support tools will help relieve frustration in resolving IBM software and hardware issues. We were very excited to hear all the positive response from everyone. I think people were most impressed with the unified, personalized and search capability compliments of the Support Portal.
What is particularly exciting is that we have already received several request to present at local user group meetings and look forward to continuing to talk to folks about Electronic Support and the new Support Portal.
We also received some wonderful feedback to help improve the tools. For example, we received a suggestion to integrate the MyNotifications and the Support Portal tool. Allowing customer to provide one password to subscribe and view technical updates via the Support Portal. We're delighted to let you know that this was in the works and has been DONE!! We will be posting a blog on that new My Notifications Portlet next week!
The new IBM Support Portal continues to be improved and enhanced based on your feedback and that of your peers. We encourage you continue using the tools and letting us know how we can make the Support Portal even better. With that in mind, we'd like to invite you to take a few minutes to fill out a short questionnaire that evaluates the IBM Support Portal in comparison to the existing IBM technical support website pages.
As your filling out the questionnaire, we recommend that you have an existing support site open for reference. You may have bookmarked the existing support sites you use regularly, but if not, here are links to the technical support sites for software products and for hardware products.
