A few odds and ends today. Thanks for all the comments on the other entries. We're working out a way to make sure I see them on a timely basis. As always, constructive comments based on fact are appreciated, and I'll try to make it clear I'm joking when my oh-so-subtle-wit (that's not what my wife calls it) isn't particularly clear (or, evidently, funny).

I swore to myself I wasn't going to mention Sun this time, but since we are playing so nicely with them here I wanted to point out that nothing is black and white in the IT world. We cooperate with other companies, we compete with other companies, in many ways at many times.
