I forgot to mention the most interesting thing that happened during my trip to Pennsylvania this last weekend.
We took a side trip to Washington, DC on Thursday and Friday to get my wife's Chinese passport renewed. On Friday we went to the Chinese embassy in Georgetown and got in line. I meandered over to the local CVS store to get snacks and beverages for the wait. As I was walking in, I noticed that the guy walking in right before me was George Stephanopoulos, who used to be President Clinton's press secretary and now hosts a Sunday morning network talk show called This Week which focuses on current events and politics.
I said hello and told him that my mom was a big fan, which is true. So that was that. That was sort of interesting.
What was really interesting and sort of weird was that later in the day we were in a completely different part of DC (not really sure where) in a cab and who should walk in front of our cab? George Stephanopoulos.
So that was my big excitement in Washington, DC.
