I wanted to put a quick post out today with a book recommendation for October. The book is Effective Enterprise Java by Ted Neward. I've also linked to this on the right-nav of this page under My Monthly Book Recommendation.
I read quite a few software-related books every year and this one, for me, is definitely the best one for 2004. Now if you don't do anything related to Java, it's probably not for you, but if you are a Java developer, especially with enterprise Java systems, you must read this book.
PS - You can read a preview chapter on state management over here at the serverside.com. You'll need a serverside.com id.
Enterprise Java developers, buy this book NOW
