countering a Microsoft blog post by Brandon Leblanc claiming 96% windows penetration in netbook market:
As Joe points out:
"About 80 percent of netbook volumes are going into Western Europe, according to IDC. The tiny portables are huge there, with for all ofEMEA (Europe Middle East and Africa) netbooks accounting for 30 percentof all consumer portable sales.
The point: The Americas and Asia account for the other 20percent of mini-notebook sales. That 96-percent Windows represents asmall portion of the global netbook market"I thought Linux had around 30% of the Netbooks market. Maybe its more?
