Should I use a stand-alone blog, or a group blog?

-A group blog is ideal if your blog isn’t intended to be the central hub of your web presence. For example, if you know you’ll also want to use other group features like the Files widget or membership, then you should use a group blog so you can have easy access and association with these features.
-If you use a group blog, you can essentially hide your blog from view while you develop it, if that is one of your requirements. You can select to make the group “Restricted,” and then the associated blog will be restricted as well. When you are ready to launch the blog, you can switch the group setting to “Public,” or you can copy and paste your blog contents to a stand-alone blog.
-Stand-alone blogs perform better in Google searches
-Stand-alone blogs have friendlier URLs as you navigate around them (friendlier than group blog URLs)
-Stand-alone blogs have more user access controls for who can update and edit the blog.
