The following two new tables have been introduced to TDSz as a part of the new System Storage Usage sub-component:
These tables provide detailed system storage usage information for DB2, including DB2 address space usage and common storage usage. They contain information based on SMF type 100, subtype 4 records (IFCID 0225).
For both DB2 v9 and v10, TDSz collects 31 bit virtual storage numbers, 64 bit virtual storage numbers, as well as the real storage counters for the DBM1 address space. DB2 v10 SMF records provide the addition of real storage counters for the DIST address space, which are also collected into TDSz. Beginning with the DB2 APAR PM24723, additional detailed real and aux storage counters were introduced into the SMF 100 sub type 4 record to help with system monitoring and the setting of real storage control system configuration parameters. Many of these counters are also collected into TDSz.
A new report has also been introduced into TDSz called the "DB2 System Storage Usage, Detail" report. This report displays the DB2 storage use for the DBM1 address space and common storage, for a given DB2 sub system and date range.
