European Operations Technical Conference (EOTC) 2012 - Announcement
GabrieleFrey-Ganzel 2700049DWC Visits (2521)
The conference will be held Monday, May 07 through Friday, May 11, 2012 in the IBM Lab in Boeblingen, Germany. Conference language will be English.
This conference addresses the needs of System, Network and Automation Administrators. Sessions are presented by representatives from IBM software development teams and YOU, the product exploiters. Interaction and feedback is both expected and encouraged.
Topics cover a range of IBM system management products, mainly IBM Tivoli System Automation Family and IBM Tivoli NetView for z/OS. Other topics might be GDPS, OMEGAMON XE Solutions, z/OS Automation Infrastructure, TWS and the IBM Tivoli Systems Management strategy. Additionally we plan to provide workshops that will be held in parallel to the main tent sessions.
The focus is on the mainframe environment together with IBM Tivoli System Automation for z/OS but extends out into the enterprise, especially IBM Tivoli System Automation for Multiplatforms and IBM Tivoli System Automation Application Manager. We plan to have a separate track for sessions of the distributed products set. Discussions can include product futures and requirements.
As last year we will again require all attendees to sign a non-disclosure agreement. This allows all speakers to talk freely about product futures and plans.
Customer presentations are very welcome and appreciated as a contribution to the success of this conference. I'd like to encourage you to pass on any suggestions.
We expect a conference fee in the same amount as last year, about € 350 that will be charged to all attendees (except speakers).
Travel, lodging and other expenses must be covered by the attendees (including speakers).
Registration will be done in the same way as last year but you will get a separate invitation when we are ready with the registration process.
Please do extend this announcement to others within IBM and to customers and colleagues whom you deem appropriate.
As the EOTC 2011 really was a successful event I am sure that you will support me in the same great way you always did before. With the decision to make this early announcement I want to give you the chance to ask early for your travel approvals. Additionally I am sure that you have plenty of time to collect your interesting project work into a presentation for the EOTC 2012.
Please send me your session titles, together with a small abstract and the planned duration as soon as possible. The agenda should be ready by end of the year before the registration process will start. Keep in mind that if the agenda is filled the chance to get entrance to the conference without conference fee is gone!
