This output format can be used to populate grids in other applications that support some type of grid object. It can also be used in applications such as Cognos Many Eyes or Google Motion Chart such as seen below.
This example works by populating a grid object in the background which can then be utilized to populate the Google Motion Chart.
The next new and exciting output format is the Image format.
Below is an example of how the Image format output appears and the REST command used to retrieve it.
Note you should use pagedReportData when requesting the Image format, otherwise your image will be too small.
Once the image has been retrieved it can be saved in a PNG format. It can then be inserted directly into any document that supports that format, such as word documents, pdf documents, Powerpoint presentations or webpages.

These new formats are extremely versatile. It is an easy way to quickly add BI content in numerous scenarios.
