About the Speaker: Marvin Goodman WW Product Manager, SmartCloud Monitoring and ITM for VE
Marvin Goodman has been with IBM for more than 13 years, and has 18 years experience in IT, serving roles in quality assurance, software development, acquisition evaluation, market analysis and competitive analysis, before moving into his current product management role. The majority of that time has been spent working with application and infrastructure performance and availability applications, watching the birth of Cloud computing, and gradually progressing along the Cloud maturity ladder along with the customers he works with. He is well acquainted with the decision points that customers face, tackling questions about when and what to virtualize, how to control virtual and Cloud environments, how to wring the promised cost-savings out of those virtualization investments, and how to progress toward an elastically scalable, highly automated Cloud environment, whether they host it themselves, or are looking to commercial providers.
