Abstract

In this paper, you learn how to use the REST web services interface to control an instance of the IBM Security Access Manager for Web appliance (which can be the physical appliance or a virtual one).

Notes:

  1. Use this curl command to upload a zip file to the management root of an instance:

    curl -k --user admin:<password> -H Accept:application/json -i -X POST --from file=@newinst_root.zip -s https://<appliance address>/reverseproxy/<instance name>/management_root

    Where newinst_root.zip is a ZIP file exported from the WebSEAL instance on the appliance via the LMI and then edited. So this is the actual file to upload.

  2. To create a configuration file entry with multiple values, use this curl parameter:

    --data-binary {"entries":[["name","epost.ca"],["name","canadapost.ca"]]}
