Saving spreadsheets

Use the Save command to save a spreadsheet you are editing as a draft. Use Save As to save a draft (or published version) as a draft with a new name.

A draft spreadsheet can be accessed by its owner and those whom the owner has shared it with as Editors.
Note: In order for Readers to view or download the spreadsheet, the draft must be published as a version.
  1. Click File > Save. The file is saved as a draft.
    Important: When you edit your spreadsheet, IBM Docs automatically saves the spreadsheet as a draft at regular times. But you can use the Save command to save it at any time.
  2. If you want to save the spreadsheet as a new draft, click File > Save As. Type a file name and then click OK. A spreadsheet with a new name is created in My Files.
