Virtually all enterprises today have a requirement for moving data, either as discrete messages or entire files. Often they rely on a number of point-to-point data movement and messaging products and techniques to address their data movement requirements, which can include File Transfer Protocol (FTP) systems, “homegrown” applications and other data movement and/or messaging solutions from multiple vendors. These solutions are time-consuming to build, difficult to manage, costly to maintain and frequently will not inter-operate. They can also be very limited in their ability to incorporate into a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
WebSphere® MQ V7.0 is an enterprise-class messaging product that can serve as the foundation for all your data movement needs, providing a reliable messaging infrastructure on which you can build robust applications and services that conform to SOA principles. Whether your data movement needs include standards-based messaging between applications, the need to move large amounts of data, or a means of enabling Web 2.0 lightweight business models by syndication of content, WebSphere MQ can be used as a foundation to satisfy all these requirements and more.
This one day session will include a mixture of presentations and hands on labs designed to give attendees an understanding of the functional and administrative capabilities of WebSphere MQ, as well as an opportunity to explore some of the capabilities of the latest release of the product. By the end of the session attendees will have a good understanding of WebSphere MQ capabilities, how it fits into a SOA-based infrastructure, and the advanced capabilities of the latest release of the product.
This workshop highlights the following:
- Messaging queuing
- Topics security
- Java programming models,
- HTTP bridge,
