Pinned topic MEMUSE Format in .nmon

‏2013-07-01T18:54:16Z | memuse nmon

Hi Guys

I'm trying to extract the computational memory usage recorded in each sample that is collected in the .nmon files.  I'm bit confused with the format of MEMUSE line

I guess as per the documentation it should be  MEMUSE,T0000,%numperm,%minperm,%maxperm,minfree,maxfree,%comp which will be 8 fields in the line, but when I check the samples I'm getting one more additional field which I don't understand.

Below are the samples.

MEMUSE,T0082,2.9,2.8,85.5,8000,8512,2.9,85.5

MEMUSE,T0083,2.9,2.8,85.5,8000,8512,2.9,85.5

MEMUSE,T0084,3.0,2.8,85.5,8000,8512,3.0,85.5

MEMUSE,T0085,3.0,2.8,85.5,8000,8512,3.0,85.5

MEMUSE,T0086,2.9,2.8,85.5,8000,8512,2.9,85.5

Can you guys help me understand it please.

Thanks

Karthik

After posting the query I realized that its stated in the manual "NMON_Analyser calculates this value.  " for % Comp.. So there is no direct Comp% value recorded in the .nmon file

Seems its being calculated from the MEMNEW line by adding up the Process% & System% ?

Please correct me if I'm wrong

    Thanks
