Pinned topic nddisk64 vmm issue

‏2013-06-07T12:11:52Z |

We are running ndisk64 on an AIX 6.1 LPAR with 24GB of memory. The problem we are facing is that the server reboots by itself after a few minutes after running out of memory.

This is the command we are using

./ndisk64 -R -r 0 -t 20 -b 4K -M 10 -f /u08/bigfile -l -v

bigfile is an 8GB file

Is there a known issue associated with this?

Sounds like the system is actually crashing.  Is running out of memory part of your testing?  You may want to considering enabling debug at the reboot.  Did the system dump on rebooting?
