Hi,

I have a minimal report as shown below. On top is a Data List Box which feeds from the Product Line and below is a simple crosstab showing Product Line as rows, years as columns and Revenue as measure. The crosstab is tied to the Data List Box via a Container Filter in the Interactive Behaviour settings.

It works as expected, except that whenever we select the Product Line, the crosstab's Summary line will disappear. Understand that the technology under Active Report does not really re-calculate numbers (hence it may choose to hide the summary line to avoid confusion) - however is there any way to get around this issue?

Apparently it is a basic business requirement that the Summary line should remain when the filter applies.

Attached is the report specs in v10.2 - this works with the standard GO warehouse package

    The product has a summary feature for this.  If you click on the toolbar Summarize Icon, at the bottom you will see a section called Summarize in Output.  If you use the Total from there, instead of the Query Summarize at top, the Active Report Totals will change as you filter.

     

    Attached please find your modified sample spec with this in place.  I have tested it here and the totals now change as expected.

    I'd like to add to Daniel's reply by saying that if you were only using the Query summary, and the Query was filtered to show only one value, the summary becomes useless - it's the same numbers.

    Therefore, changing the output to use the "Summarize in Output" option would be the appropriate way to force the summary to appear all the time, even if only one data value was being reported.

    Hi Team,

    I have once issue, like after doing the 'Summarize in Output' value, i need to compare the GOAL value to that value.

    But i am unable to compare the values, based the GOAL value i need to change the color of the text.

    Please suggest me on this.

     

    OR is there any other way.

    My issue is i have Country_Name Column and Month_Year column, based the Month_Year Slider range the values has to display (Single Value).

    I created one crosstab and i am hidden the columns and rows and i am showing only the 'Summarize in Output' Values.

    I am able to show the values but unable to compare it, please suggest me.
