Pinned topic Getting error while doing "Test Work" on datase

‏2013-06-10T20:23:25Z |

Hi,

Any one seen this error before? I made changes to my test database and I wanted to test them, it validates fine but then when i go and do a "Test work" i get this:

Note: the log file its pointing me to is not actually there.

Upgrading Test Database DevDB failed because of an exception.
Caught a CQException at the JNI Boundary:
\bugbert.src\cqobjectmodel\cqdatabase.cpp: line 640-CRMMD1230E An error was detected in the middle of upgrading database "DevDB" to schema "Testing" version 397: CRMMD1283E Access to this database is currently denied.
The database is locked while upgrading the application.

If you are already logged in, please logoff and try again later.

The database may be in an inconsistent state. The database will be locked to prevent users from logging on until it is restored from the latest backup. You must restore it and resolve this problem before attempting the upgrade again.

The logfile c:\DOCUME~1\x\LOCALS~1\Temp\DevDB_Testing_397_upgrade.log may be useful in resolving this problem.

    Hello,

The below links would be helpful-

    http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/rational/archives/clearquestug/hypermail/0104/att-0420/01-technote_6636.htm

    http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/rational/archives/clearquestug/hypermail/0104/0901.html

    http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21133810

In any case you have do the following-

To resolve a failed database upgrade, restore the affected user database using a backup that was created just before upgrading it.

Since, this is just the "Test Database", you can think of deleting it and create a new one. But yes, you will have to create all the records/mete data again in the new test db. This option is good if you have very less number of Records/Meta Data in your Test DB.

    All the Best..!!

    :)
