    Please check if you have under Administrative Tools-->Services you have 'IBM Optim Server' service running. You will also have to check under Control Panel--> View 32-bit Control panel and double click on Optim logo. In this screen under 'General' tab you should have name of your server, under 'Startup' tab it should have 'Start as service' and 'Automatic' as checked. Under 'Status' tab it should have 'The Optim server is currently waiting for work'. Information under 'Endpoints' tab should match between server and the workstation.

    Hi Sunny

    Thank you, As you said above, those are all set but still the error occurs.

    The optim & the optim server both are in my local machine am giving the server name as my machine name(Ip or machine name), with this same settings the server works fine in other TP with the same OS,

    Any other things to set up please explain.

    Hi Ravinder,

    Based on your response above, we'll assume that if you go to the Optim Server Control Panel and look on the Status tab it says "Optim Server is currently waiting for work", right?

    Can you check the server logs in the directory you have specified as "Temporary Work" on the General tab of the Server settings?  That might point you in the right direction?

    Perhaps a missing configuration or other required setting was skipped?

    Also, check your firewall on that machine.  It might be blocking port 1024, even if its on the same machine.

    Let us all know how you get on.

    Cheers,

    Matt

    HI Matt

    Thank you, one word server logs help us to resolve issue

    When we look in to the logs the

    RtDrcty          RtDirectory::IsValid            (4293) EXCP 08/20/2013 11:16:51 000011 00000ED4 00001300
                                     Path 'C:\Optim\RT\properties\version\' is input and not found
     RtDrcty          RtDirectory::IsValid            (4293) EXCP 08/20/2013 11:16:51 000012 00000ED4 00001300
                                     Path 'C:\Optim\RT\properties\version\' is input and not found

    and the path it was taking 'C:\Optim\properties\version... we changed it to the correct path ('C:\Optim\RT\properties\version), that resolved the issue

    Thank you for all your responses.
