Pinned topic mq manager can't be connected in Win10

‏2017-06-26T09:00:21Z | mq win10

My colleague got the new PC and the OS is Win10.

When trying to connect MQ manager, it complained that authorization failed.  And googled the error and added the azure id to mqm group.  It still don't work.

And then try to run the "Prepare  WAS MQ Wizard " , specify the windows domain user.. here ... this need to enter windows password.. but what we have is only pin code.

Should the all the issue start here ? Because the authorization only accept password but in fact windows can only provide pin ???

Thanks.

AMQ8075: Authorization failed because the SID for entity '****' cannot be
obtained.

EXPLANATION:
The Object Authority Manager was unable to obtain a SID for the specified
entity. This could be because the local machine is not in the domain to locate
the entity, or because the entity does not exist.
ACTION:
Ensure that the entity is valid, and that all necessary domain controllers are
available. This might mean creating the entity on the local machine.

I suspect your problem arises from using a version of MQ that know nothing about Windows 10, and is not supported on Windows 10.

See System Requirements for WebSphere MQ V7.5.

Suggest you try a version of MQ that understands Windows 10. The earliest version appears to be V8 Fix Pack 4.

See System Requirements for WebSphere MQ V8.0.

    Cheers,

Thank you for your info. We have added a local account which can start and run the mq. This is workaround for now.

OK but be aware that you are running an unsupported configuration. You should not go into production like that.
