Pinned topic ClearCase / ClearQuest for Eclipse Juno - Eclipse 4.2.2

‏2013-10-06T23:42:06Z |

I have ClearCase / ClearQuest version 7.1.2 Native client installed on a Windows 7 machine

Which version of ClearCase / ClearQuest SCM Adapter can be used with Eclipse Juno -  Ecipse 4.2.2 ?

I tried following the document titled Rational ClearCase SCM Adapter (For Eclipse), Version 7.6.2.0 at

http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg24025674

and also tried to provide http://www3.software.ibm.com/ibmdl/pub/software/rationalsdp/clearcase/60/update/windows/ as eclipse update url mentioned in the same technote.

Both the times I get the following error

Cannot complete the install because some dependencies are not satisfiable
com.rational.clearcase.feature.group [7.6.2.v201309301552] cannot be installed in this environment because its filter is not applicable.

How can I get ClearCase plug-in to work with Eclipse Juno

Yes, that was the problem.  It worked when I installed it on 32-bit Eclipse

A related question : Do you know where can I get the 'ClearQuest' plug-in for 32-bit Juno?

    Thanks,

I've not used a CQ-only plugin before (just CCRC and CTE) but I did check with the CQ team who confirmed there was one available. Does it work if you use C:\Program Files (x86)\IBM\RationalSDLC\ClearQuest\cqecUpdateSite (assuming the install location is correct) as an update site?

I don't see any problem with the versions you are using. Are you trying to install SCM Adapter into 64-bit Eclipse?

Thanks, this worked - on both - Eclipse Juno and RAD 8.5.5 - I had to do some trial and error to find out which options should be selected - but it worked.
