Pinned topic Use regular SATA disks on x3250 MT 4364

‏2013-09-30T13:23:21Z |

Good morning,

in my company we replaced our old PDC. It's a IBM x3250 MT 4364 and I'd like to re-use it as backup server but the IBM original drives have 500 GB like max storage. So I want replace the old SATA drives (2 x 250 GB) with some new regular SATA. Can I do it?

Thank you

Hello Alexander and thank you  for your reply.

I saw your links but I found only IBM drives and the max size is 1 TB.

What I thought is to use some drive of other brands, like Western Digital Green or Red 4 TB.

I know that the server is old and maybe this is the reason that I can't find bigger original disks.
