Pinned topic Clustered NFS - Identifying Traffic

‏2013-11-05T01:26:23Z |

I have a cnfs cluster of 6 systems, each serving different file systems in the cluster (2-3 per server). DNS pointes the clients to the right server. Sometimes one will get overloaded, and I can track it to a specific file systems. What I'd really like to know is what NFS traffic is coming in, so I can track it back to a client or clients - ideally to a specific user.

Are there some NFS monitoring utilities that will give me those details?

iftop and iptraf to see network traffic based on IP. Tto track access to specific files you'll need to use tcpdumps, nfsreplay, or rpcdebug
