Pinned topic How to search for Admin DN permission using command in LDAP V6.1?

‏2013-06-11T08:20:24Z |

Hi,

I do have username and password for admin DN in Production server.

Then i want to recreate the new user in Development server that has same permission as user in Production server above.

So, how can i search for Admin DN permission using command in LDAP V6.1?

I do run this command in Production server:

D:\Program Files\IBM\LDAP\V6.1\bin>ldapsearch -D "cn=root" -w secret -p 389 -h
 localhost -b "" -s base "objectclass=*"

But it just retrieve all the Root DSE info.

I want the output that i can used to recreate the user in Development server.

Example output:

dn: o=ibm,c=us

objectClass: top

objectClass: organization

o: IBM

Regards,

Thanks Terry for the link :)

Btw, i search the Base DN value thru dsquery user, group, ou command.

Then i applied the value to ACL command.

      The output is like below:

      ldap_simple_bind: Can't contact LDAP server

May i know, is there any condition to put the Base DN value?
