Pinned topic DataStudio (4.1.2) and securityMechanism=13

‏2019-03-26T14:12:17Z | data_encrypt datastudio securitymechanism

I have some databases that are using DATA_ENCRYPT, and some users that use Data Studio to access them.

I had them set up the connection profiles with securityMechanism=13, so they can connect.

They can also browse data through the GUI just fine (via database->tables->table/browse data).

They can update the data from a SQL script using the same connection profile.

...but they can't update the data through the GUI (via database->tables->table/edit data)
More accurately, they CAN edit the data, but when they try to commit, they get "Connection authorization failure occurred.  Reason: Security mechanism not supported. ERRORCODE=-4214, SQLSTATE=28000."

But that's exactly what "securityMechanism=13" is supposed to fix, isn't it?  So why isn't it working?

Upgrading to 4.1.3 solved the problem.
