ist it possible to retrieve the format level identifier with sql statement?

    I do not see the record format listed in any service (after a cursory glance).  Might be a fun exercise to create your own UDTF to wrap around QUSLRCD.

    You could also submit a RFE.

    Actually you might need Qddfname and Qddfseq from qdbrtvfd

    Hi Robert,
    thank you for your reply/suggestion - a service woulde be nice but i've no time to spend for this issue.
    My quick&dirty solution was a daily
    DSPFD FILE(*ALL/*ALL) TYPE(*RCDFMT) OUTPUT(*OUTFILE) FILEATR(*PF *LF) OUTFILE(ECOSYS/DSPFD)
