Pinned topic Relative Width of listView Dialog Box Element

‏2014-02-16T23:31:15Z | box dialog dxl element listview relative width

Does anyone know of a way to have listView dialog box elements resize automatically when the width of the overall dialog box is changed?

In the DXL reference manual, the listView declaration is clear that it is of a fixed width. However, I'm wondering if anyone has developed a clever workaround? Any ideas would be helpful.

Thanks in advance!

    string setExtraHeightShare(DBE control, real share) and string setExtraWidthShare(DBE control, real share), after the DB has been realized, should work.

    Yes. The "real" number is how much of the manual change in width/height is applied to this DBE.  If only one DBE is to be resized, the real share should be "1.0".  If two or more, the "Shares" should add up to 1.0.

    I note however this will increase the width/height of the listView, but not any of it's columns.

    You can also simulate the width by attaching the side of the element to the "form"

    dbeListView ->"right" ->"form".
