Pinned topic Problem Installing IBM Rational Application Developer 8.5.x for WebSphere Application Server 8.5.x

‏2013-08-13T23:03:41Z |

Hi,

I have downloaded Rational Application Developer Software for WebSphere Application Server 8.5.x. After installation, RAD throwing error message as License Key expired. I've updated Floating point license as well even then no luck.

Anyone please share hyperlink which I can add it under 'Repositories' of IBM Installation Manager?

Thanks in advance!!

Sasank.

    Dear Sasank,

Thank you for posting your question in the forum.
Could you please send an email to sw_support_ap@au1.ibm.com to provide your ICN (IBM Customer Number) ?
Also let us know more information, like 'how you have updated Floating license', any error message...etc.
Basically a floating license key should be imported in License Key Administrator (LKAD) which comes with Rational License Key Server (RLKS) application.   You can download RLKS from your Passport Advantage Online account.

Once you provide your ICN by email (send it to sw_support_ap@au1.ibm.com), we will open a ticket and assist you further.
    Thank you,

    Hi Sasank,

As a quick check, you may refer the .upd or .dat file opened in a note pad. Mentioned below is an example RAD temp license:

    INCREMENT ibmrad ibmratl 7.00000 08-feb-2013 1 vendor_info="0

You may notice 08-feb-2013 is the expiration date. In case of a permanent license, you will notice permanent instead of a date in the license.
