Pinned topic Error: Location Change for test database

‏2014-04-01T20:57:09Z |
All:

When I changed the location of test database from one server
to another, I just updated  the location of the test database
on the properties in The CQ Designer.
Everything worked fine.

I am able to access the test database from the windows Client.
However, When I modifed  the schema today and tried to test
my code using the test database, it complains that
the test database was not found.
The following is the exact error message.

-------------------------------
Upgrading Test Database MYTST failed because of an exception.
Caught a CQException at the JNI Boundary:
\bugbert.src\cqobjectmodel\cqdatabase.cpp: line 640-CRMMD1230E An error was detected in the middle of upgrading
database "MYTST" to schema "CAT01" version 42: CRMMD1284E Unable to logon to the SQL_SERVER database "AC2CAT02".
The vendor error message was:

CRMDB0000E SQLDriverConnect: RETCODE=-1, State=37000, Native Error=4060
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Cannot open database "AC2CAT02" requested by the login. The login failed.
-------------------------------
I am not sure how to handle this.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

    One quick question-

"When I changed the location of test database from one server to another"

Did you move the database using CQ "Move" option OR you have restored your Database to the new location from a backup or something?

    Hi:

    No.

I just updated the location of the test database  in the properties on the CQ  Designer.

This is a method suggested by the CQ user Guide

I am able to access it from Cq windows Client.

But, when I work on the schema on the designer, I get the above error messsge

when I try to test the schema with the test database.

Is there a way to fix it now.

    Thanks

    Bzoo.

    Please try this -

    1. Update the connection from CQ Maintenance tool.

    2. Login to the Designer and check if Test Database properties are fine.

Try to perform a Test Work now.

    Hi CQAdmin:

    Thanks for your response.

I  had entered the database server name  wrongly as "SQLXXXT".

The SQL DBA pointed out that it should be "SQLXXXT\SQLXXXT"  instead of   "SQLXXXT".

Once I corrected  it, the error message disappeared.

    Thanks again.
