Pinned topic WAS Express or Liberty Core?

‏2014-01-02T12:55:37Z |

I have an App that runs in WAS Express and I am migrating it to the Liberty Profile.  I now understand that I can install the Liberty Profile using my WAS Express license but am wondering if I should take this opportunity to move to the Liberty Core as well.  I know this is a different license from WAS Express but other than that are there any issues/limitations of deploying my App from Liberty Core versus WAS Express Liberty Profile?

It really depends on what your application needs from the runtime. The Liberty Core edition doesn't contain Web services or JMS capability, if your application doesn't need it then it would be worth looking at the Liberty Core edition which lacks the PVU limitations of express.
