Pinned topic PL/I for Windows envVars and nmake

‏2011-12-14T16:08:35Z |
I try to use the "PL/I for Windows"-Compiler from RDz 8.0.3 with nmake. The most  compile-time enviroment variable start with IBM. (ex.: IBM.SOURCE. Nmake however does not accept macros with a dot.

IBM.SOURCE = ./src

fails with syntax error : illegal character '.' in macro

How to solve this dilema? Is there another char instead the dot, eg,: IBM_SOURCE ?

    There is a commercial PL/I for Windows?

    Where does one obtain this?

     yes, but it is part of Rational Developer for System z (RDz). As I know, you cannot obtain it saparetly.
