Hi all

i'm try to write a test program  but i have error in import; the source is this:

package server;
import com.ibm.as400;
program test
    function main()
        as400 AS400;
    end
end

the import line is in error IWN.VAL.3260.e 3/16 The type com.ibm.as400 cannot be resolved. also if in my project in the build path i have added IBM i Utilities and tool box  (see attached figure)

 

where i'm wrong ?

    Hello Gio,

    What you are trying to do is import a Java archive into EGL. That will not work. I am not sure what you are trying to achieve in your test program. You can write a Java class to access AS400 functions and then expose that class to EGL as an external type. If you are just trying to access a DB2 database on iSeries you can use SQL to do that (just make sure that your connection properties are defined correctly in the build descriptor of your project (the .eglbld file)).
