Pinned topic Missing Excel output options from OLAP report in V.2.1 HF4

‏2013-05-27T15:10:41Z |

I have Web Query V.2.1 Hotfix 4 installed.

If I run an OLAP report and if I select "Save" then there is no option to save as Excel.

There are only three save options available: PDF, Active Report and Save Report as *.fex (see also attached screencopy).

In previous WQ versions there was an Excel Output from OLAP possible. Excel output is also documented in the Web Query V.2.1 redbook.

Any idea ??

Thank you and best regards, Georg

Georg - You are right - it was in 1.1.2 and it is not in 2.1. I do not know why the Excel options were removed but I will do some digging.

    Thanks.

Gene, thank you for this clarification.

Please keep me informed, if this is an V.2.1 error or a permanent restriction.

      Regards, Georg

      Hi Gene,

My customer is also asking about the Excel option in the Save menu. They used it frequently in the 1.1.2 version.

Could you also keep me informed about the issue?

      Thanks.

Maria and Georg - This will be addressed in next group PTF - hopefully available within a month. If you cannot wait for that, there is a manual patch that can be applied. This is something that IBM support can help you with - so just open a PMR if you need these options right away.
