Hi

Hi am trying to configure the alerting feture in the LPAR2RRD, i am able to get the alert but i need to get a meaning full alert, that i need to find the way to give the exact threshold values to be get alerted.

for example i got a alert saying

Wed Jul 10 15:33:02 2013: CPU Warning  alert for:

 LPAR: fxxxxt1

 server: fxxxx1-520-f6

 managed by: hmcf10

 avg utilization during last 10 mins: 0.144  (Warning  MAX limit: 0.12  Warning  MIN limit: 0)

how do i calculate the (60% or 70% or 80% as my limits for warning/critical ) values.

i have configure somethink like this in the alert.cfg.

LPAR:p710:fexxxt1:0.1:0:::mail@id

    In you case is:

    100% == 0.1 CPU

    If you set warning level for 80% then you will be alerted when CPU usages reaches 0.08 CPU.
