Pinned topic Database Schema

‏2013-07-08T21:24:20Z |

I am new to DB2 ExpC and have been tasked with a report assignment. I have to generate some graphical/statistical reports for a client's existing DB2 database. I have successfully connected to the database and can see all tables (and fields). However, the manufacturer of the software tool that uses the current database has [long ago] sold the technology and I have not been able to get any documentation regarding the database schema.

Has anyone here successfully used a tool to reverse engineer or document the tables (and their relations)? I would prefer the tool be open source, freeware, or shareware since this project is most likely going to be a 'one-off'

Thanks,

Mike

Have you tried connecting DB2 on windows to a front end app like MS access, excel ? May be it will help you with your details
