Pinned topic RFT auto enablement problem testing eclipse

‏2013-06-06T10:30:33Z |

Although testing RFT with our Eclipse based product, we find RFT is looking at other Eclipse, Java and browser applications on the machine such as Firefox, Lotus Symphony, Lotus Notes.

Disabling everything via Configure..Enable environments does not help.

Consequently RFT runs very slowly so it is unusable, leading to us having to shutdown the other applications, which does not help with our productivity.

I believe this is due to the auto enablement introduced with RFT 8.2.2

There does not appear to be a way to turn off the auto enablement feature.

I have added a RFE for this, please view, vote if you are also affected by this

Thanks,

Mark

    Hi Mark,

    With RFT 8.5.1 and above, you can now disable Automatic Enablement:

       1.  Start RFT

       2.  Window -> Preferences

       3.  Under Functional Test -> Automatic Enablement, just uncheck the option there.
