There has been an unknown error on the cloud server over the past few days that made it unavailable for access. This issue has now been corrected and the server is now back online.
We are still working on migrating the cloud to the new beta build without losing any of the current racer data - as soon as this happens we will let you know. When the cloud does upgrade the new leaderboard will be available for all.

The IBM Cloud has been updated to the new beta level of the game - both beta and GA clients should be able to race on the cloud.
This downtime lasted less than 5 seconds.
The new leaderboard relies on data being stored that was never tracked before so any races run before the update will not show up under the fastest times for a given track. Any races run now will appear correctly.

Thank you for the report - I missed this forum post but did detect the outage in early April. We have nearly finished implementing and automated recovery to the cloud server so if it goes down in the future it should restart itself after a few minutes.

We have just migrated to a new cloud server with a little more CPU horsepower and memory (2 cores instead of 1 and 4GB RAM instead of 2GB) in anticipation of more agent races being run with the 1.2 release. The database from the old server has been moved across, although that migration took a while so recent race data may be lost (sorry about that!)
We also took this opportunity to update the server to version 1.2 so agent races are now fully supported as well as intermediate and advanced AIs. You will need a version 1.1 beta or newer client to connect to the server (a version 1.2 client is needed to be able to run agent AI races).
For those of you with a lot of races already run on the server we are now limiting the number of races we return to the "My Races" view in your Eclipse client - this should significantly improve responsiveness. Please let me know if that view is still slow if you have a lot of races under your belt and we'll reduce it further.
Please let us know in the forums if you see any performance issues or bugs.Updated on 2014-06-17T11:02:05Z at 2014-06-17T11:02:05Z by TomBanks

Advanced AIs have been permanently disabled from the IBM Cloud - this is to encourage people to start using AgentAIs which are superior in every way to AdvancedAIs. The Advanced AI functionality remains in the game files, so if you run your own server you can use it there however moving forward we will be looking to completely remove the advanced AI from the game as we don't think it is needed anymore (and is less secure and potentially introduces performance issues for the servers running them).
The Code Rally cloud and all the cloud servers setup for the online code rally challenge have now been updated to the 1.3 baseline - this is still compatible with all previous versions of the code rally Eclipse plugin, although features such as Agent AIs and the ability to run AIs from Bluemix are only available in the 1.3 plugin.
