Pinned topic Rational Software Architect - missing icon for Class element in palette window?

‏2012-10-31T14:32:46Z |

I have been trying to create a Class diagram in UML 2.0 using Rational Architect.

However when I look at the palette options there is no icon for Class to click and position a class item on the diagram.

Screenshot:

enter image description here

Following this example here , on page 2 you can clearly see the palette has an icon for "Class"

Why can I not find it? Is it a specific type of project or model I have to use ?

Thanks

     Hello,

The Class item is definitively missing in your palette. The content of the Palette varies depending on a couple of factors, such as:
    • The open diagram you are creating
    • The project you created
    • The capabilities that you have enabled/disabled.
By default, a UML project (or model project) is configured to provide all the UML modeling capabilities. In your case, verify that you have not unchecked by mistake the UML Class check box in the Capabilities of your model.

Or if you create a model from scratch,  you should be able to see the Class icon in the palette of your class diagram
