Pinned topic How MDM server implement process management?

‏2014-06-13T03:12:55Z |

I have a question, our MDM server can manage data with the OOB service like addPerson, updatePerson, getPerson ex.

But if we want to include the validation process management, how should we do that?

Like if we add or update some information, we don't it become effect immediately means the getXXX method can't get the new information. And we need some supervisor to validate the change first. if the supervisor agree the addXXX or updateXXX changes. Then the getXXX methods can get the new information.

Does anyone has any experience about this?

    Hi,

MDMServer has a concept called "Critical Data processing" . It has some default attributes as below.

    • TCRMPersonBObj for date of birth and gender.
    • TCRMPersonNameBObj for last name and given name one.
    • TCRMOrganizationNameBObj for organization name.
    • TCRMPartyAddressBObj for the party's address.
    • TCRMPartyIdentificationBObj Social Security Number for person or corporate tax ID for organization

These critical data elements can be configured too.

There is a configelement setting called "/IBM/Party/CriticalDataChangeProcessing/enabled" that when set to true or false enables this critical data processing.

So once this is set , if any of the crticial data gets updated/added , it would need to be acted upon(accepted/rejected) again for the data to actually get persisted onto MDM.

There is an entire topic called "Processing critical data changes" in Infocenter for MDM.

    Thanks and Regards,

    Geetha.
