Pinned topic GIM Client

‏2013-04-19T10:02:34Z |

Hi all,

I am quite new guardium and still learning.

If my question has been asked before, please forgive me.

I am installing GIM on the SuSE and mistakenly remove it from the Collector by clicking on the Reset Client button (itchy hand, want to know what that button for).

Now the client is no longer in the client list.

I have uninstall the GIM in the SuSE and hope that the entry will reappear. But unfortunately it is not the case.

Anybody know how to add this client back to the Collector?

Do you mean after you uninstall the GIM and reinstall, you still can't find the Client?

If you run ps -ef|grep GIM, is GIM process still running?

    Hi 1XWY_TS_Teh,

Can see gim_client.pl running. Is that the GIM process?

Now if I go to Module Installation > Install by Client and click on Search, it said, No Client have been registered.

    Thanks

At the Process Monitor, do you see both GIM and SUPERVISOR is active mean in Green?

Check at the /etc/inittab, is the line start with gim and gsvr exist.

You can try restart the GIM services, by remark the two lines in /etc/inittab and run "init q" than remove the remark and run "init q" again.
