Pinned topic C:D MySQL database migration, backup, restore

‏2013-04-16T09:32:56Z |

I am running MySQL on my C:D 4.4.0.68 and trying to upgrade it to 4.6.0.2 (keep using MySQL). Will the setup procedure takes care of the database migration? How can I tell the data from 4.4 are migrated to 4.6? (I do a statistics search but can't find the old statistics).

What are the procedures to backup the database of 4.4.0.x and restore it?

What are the procedures to backup the database of 4.6.0.x and restore it? It doesn't have the MySQL directory as 4.4.0.x does.

Thanks.

Setup will migrate your data from the old to the new database during an Upgrade installation. The migration is done independent of the type of source and destination database.

Starting with C:D Windows 4.6.0.1, IBM solidDB is the new default database included with the product.

MySQL is still supported, but as an external database, which means you will have to install and maintain it yourself. See the Release Notes for supported versions.
